What’s For Dinner?

Published by kelley77 at 10:03 am under Uncategorized Edit This

How many times a day do you hear that question? If you are like me, only about a million times a day.

So, what I plan to do here is to give you ideas and/or recipes for meals to make for dinner. I don’t have professional cooking experience so these are not going to be complex meals. Dinner doesn’t have to be a production every night. It can be quick, easy and healthy. Of course, there are nights where you have the time and energy to make something a little more special. Then there are nights when you just end up calling for pizza.

I’m also looking for input from you, the readers. If you have a recipe or idea that you would like to submit, let me know. I’ll give you all the credit for your submission.

I was going to start today by giving my homemade pizza recipe but then I remembered the grilled pizza I made over the summer. It could also be made on a grill pan inside too.

I take a frozen dough that has thawed. Cut it into 4 pieces and roll out. I usually keep them small to manage them on the grill easier. Oil one side and place the oiled side down on the grill on low heat. Oil the tops while they are on the grill. When the first side is cooked remove from the grill and put the cooked side up. Add sauce, cheese and any toppings. Replace on grill to cook the crust on the bottom and melt the cheese. I’d recommend precooking meats like bacon, sausage or hamburg because the pizza is not on the heat long enough to cook these meats through.

Next to a brick oven cooked pizza these are the best. It’s a lot more work than making regular pizza but the results are worth it.

Enjoy!
