Good Meals for a Snowstorm
Today in the northeast, we are getting slammed with about a foot of snow. It started snowing over 6 hours ago and hasn’t stopped yet. It got me to thinking about meals for a snowy day.
A whole chicken with the fixings would sound good. Since it takes a few hours to cook, it warms up the house too.
Of course, soups are always a good choice. Warms you up on a cold day, especially if you have been out shoveling snow. A great beef stew would be great on a day like today.
The best dessert on a day like today would be brownies, nice and warm out of the oven. The gooey chocolate goodness, I can taste them.
Whatever your favorite cold weather meal, make it on a cold, snowy day like today. Since most of the country has been hit by this storm in one form or another, I’m guessing there were a lot of great cold weather meals made today.
Stay warm and make your favorite dish. If you are in the northeast, hunker down because it’s going to be a long weekend.
